Special Notes About the Film:

New Orleans filmmakers Stephen Rue and Gabriel Dayan started shooting a film intended to be a documentary about a Habitat for Humanity project in the Ninth Ward of New Orleans in June of 2005. They filmed in the Ninth Ward throughout the summer of 2005 and found themselves possessing the last footage of this area before Hurricane Katrina and the resulting flood devastated the city.

Now with over 360 hours captured, Rue and Dayan are in post production on New Orleans Story, a feature documentary film regarding Hurricane Katrina.

The filmmakers consider it a very personal obligation to get the message to the world that the tragedy in the Gulf Coast continues, thus they also produced a short documentary film "Dear Mister President." about a twelve year old victim of Hurricane Katrina.
